ANNOUNCEMENT by Pete Yates [IYN Secretary]
After many years of stalwart service to the IYN, Ellen Lee has stepped down from the position of Chairperson.
I'd like to thank Ellen on behalf of myself and Jim Gough [IYN Treasurer] for work that not only ensured that the IYN has endured but that it has also flourished. In this respect, I'd particularly like to mention Ellen's formative role in IYN Festivals, Conferences and Yoga Days, which to my mind, have helped Yoga to thrive and do its good work in the UK and beyond. Of course, we also need to thank Ellen for the many day to day nitty-gritty tasks like appraising applications and supporting members, which she also carried out with grace and energy.
Thanks Ellen, and good luck with your future ventures.
In the near future, Jim and I will be seeking a new Chair and some other keen people to join an expanded executive.
