IYN - Independent Yoga Network

My background is unconventional for a yoga teacher: I have a PhD in Physics and have over 20 years experience working as an IT professional. I trained under Ellen Lee at the Bushey School of Yoga, where we have learnt to teach classical yoga from the heart. I continue to draw inspiration from Ellen and from Neil Patel (Chi Kri Yoga), both of whom are exceptional yogis and teachers. In my classes (currently running in Northwood, Middlesex), I encourage our students to work with holistic awareness, bringing the mind, body and spirit together. I also incorporate the philosophy and background of yoga into our teaching. Being a parent of two teenagers, I intimately understand the pressures of modern life upon the people who attend my yoga classes. I therefore incorporate the teaching of specific yoga techniques that help us to cope with the demands placed upon us in this busy world.
